It is one of the direct counties in the pilot province of Jiangxi Province. Shuyang County is located between 116°23′45′′ to 117°06′15′′ east longitude, 28°46′26′′ to 29°42′03′′ north latitude, bordering Pengze County and Dongzhi County of Anhui Province in the north; It is bordered by Yugan and Wannian; it is adjacent to Jingdezhen and Leping City in the east; it is connected with Duchang County in the northwest.
