The department is adjacent to Lanshan County, the northwest is adjacent to Jiahe County, the north is connected with Guiyang County, and the northeast is connected with Beihu District. Linwu is one of the oldest counties in the county of Xiangnan. During the Warring States period, it was set up in Wuyi, and Han Gaozu was established in five years (202 BC).
